Location - Firstaway has its Office and Tuition classroom on site at Ocean Village Marina, sited alongside the Harbour Lights Cinema at the western end of the 'Board Walk'. SO14 3TL.
Ocean Village Marina (OVM) is an ideal location for chartering, full time access and sheltered moorings with very little tide. It is currently undergoing a complete rebuild and boasts several fine restaurants and bars.
The Tesco Express mini supermarket is a real asset for those last minute bits and pieces.
Southampton city centre with all its amenities is only a short walk away.

The development by MDL of a 200 bedroom luxuary Hotel overlooking the Marina has planning permission and an award winning multistorey carpark has already been built by MDL and is operational.

MDL has several other car parking facilities close at hand but tickets must be purchased or Firstaway have a limited number of 'parking passes' that can be used. (Two per boat).

Care must be taken not to park in the Harbour Lights Cinema Car Park for any length of time.

The Firstaway facilities reside alongside the 'Board Walk' adjacent to the Harbour Lights Cinema, along with the Security and Showers / Toilet facilities.
Boat access into the marina can be gained at any state of the tide. Our yachts are moored alongside G, F & H pontoons and are well sheltered from extremes of tide and wind.


Directions - From the M27 exit 3, take the M271 and follow the Dock Gate signs past Town Quay to Platform Road. Turn right at the first set of lights into Ocean Way, drive past the back of the Multiplex cinema on your left. Follow Ocean Way round past the new Multistorey car park on your right and you will find an MDL car park immediately on your left. Go as far from the main entrance as possible (towards the Harbour Lights Cinema), park up (temporary parking) and we can be found immediately on the RHS of the 'Board Walk' (adjacent to the Harbour Lights Cinema) as you exit by footpath from the car park. (See picture on this page) (Note - The exit furthest away from the main entrance).
Call into the office to collect parking passes etc.


We will also give you the code to the gate / toilets; the trollies take £1 coins.
