Firstaway has consolidated its role as a training centre. We are an approved RYA Training Centre for Sailing, RIB and Radar Courses

We can offer a full range of practical and theory sailing courses up to Yacht Master standard and for power boat training, Level 1 through to Advanced

RYA RADAR COURSES - Meet your Legal Requirements
Firstaway Tuition also offers specialist RYA approved Radar
courses. A one day shorebased course using RYA approved
Radar simulators, gains you the RYA Radar Course Certificate.
Following this it is recommended that students undertake a practical experience course. This can be afloat on our 44' yacht, on our 34' Nelson Motorboat, or on our RIB with its Radar overlay on the chartplotter. We are flexible enuogh to be able to offer a combination of both sail and power, covering classic radar sets through to modern menu driven / computer controlled Radars. It is also possible to carry out practical / experience courses on your own vessel.
