RYA Training Structure
The RYA Sail Training & Qualifications Scheme
The scheme comprises a series of practical courses, complemented by Shorebased theory / navigation courses and other specialist short courses.
They are intended as the progression route to the RYA/MCA Certificates of Competence which with subsequent Commercial Endorsement by the RYA can enable
employment on a professional basis. They are recognised by maritime authorities worldwide.
They can also be attended as a means to increase ones knowledge and confidence.

Radar & AIS
Recommended 2500 miles, 50 days, 5 days as skipper, five 60 mile passages (two as skipper, two at night)
